Historic Charleston Foundation has long honored the city’s architectural legacy, cultural heritage, and stories past through its annual spring festival. Now entering its 79th year, the festival has evolved into a more expansive and holistic celebration of Charleston’s history, design, culture, and community life. Formerly known as the Festival of Houses & Gardens, The Charleston Festival continues to feature its signature House & Garden Tours and distinguished lecture series, while introducing an array of new programs, venues, and immersive experiences for the 2026 season, taking place March 18 through April 11, 2026.

Toast Under the Oaks

Date: April 2, 2026 (kicks off the weekend)

Location: Johns Island County Park | Johns Island, South Carolina

Unwind, sip, and linger beneath the sweeping canopy of Johns Island’s iconic live oaks at Toast Under the Oaks, an effortlessly charming evening designed for relaxation and community. ArtWalk – First Friday

This lively cultural tradition offers an immersive way to engage with Charleston’s artistic talent, discover new works, and enjoy the city’s historic charm at a leisurely pace. Whether you begin on Broad Street, Queen Street, or any participating gallery because truly, every gallery is a starting point. Charleston Farmers Market (Season Reopening)
